It's about to be a humongous week for music here in Philadelphia, especially for hometown artist Agent Zero. It all starts today with the debut of  the artist's new track, "Luna", right here on Funkadelphia. "Luna" is the first single from Agent Zero's forthcoming album, Sound Sorcery Vol. 2, which will be released this Friday, March 20th, on Funkadelphia Recordings.

 

In our recent interview with Agent Zero, he told us how he aimed to create a truly encapsulating sound with this new record. "Luna" does an exceptional job of justifying that idea. The song is far from the typical stigma of a dance track, despite an unavoidable presence of electronic production input. Of course, the track also develops strongly instrumental layers, relying on input from guitarist Jay Luber.

 

You can catch Agent Zero performing Luna, as well as the full Sound Sorcery Vol. 2 album live this Friday at Kung Fu Necktie. He'll be accompanied by Luber, as well as live saxophonist Rob Potter and drummer Ryan DJ Ha.
