Wax future is a mosaic of modern electronica, blending elements of everything from funk to glitch through a live, improvisational lens. Taking from further roots in hip hop and soul, the Philadelphia group is constantly expanding upon its original thesis, while effortlessly maintaining a cathartic focal point of sound. Featuring Connor Hansell, Keith Wadsworth, and visual artist Jamal Rab, Wax Future provides an immersive live experience through declarative guitar, crunchy synthesizers, and an encompassing visual spectacle of improvised live video editing. In the studio, Hansell and Wadsworth seem to share a natural rhythm, cultivating a flawless juxtaposition of hearty, bass depths and revitalizing live instrumentation.

 

The Human Element EP, the group's debut release, set ears on fire across the world, dripping thunderous bass-lines admist jovial guitar plucks and encapstulating synthesizer atmospheres. Wax Future continued to light up speakers with a series of jubilant, funked-out remixes- including Bob Marley's "Soul Shake Down Party", and Outkast's "Miss Jackson". The release of their Keep the Memories EP in August of 2015 saw nearly 30,000 plays on Soundcloud after just its first two months, with the followup Make Me Feel Again EP on Adapted Records (October, 2016) smashing even greater numbers.
